Eunicella singularis is a species of colonial soft coral, a sea fan in the family Gorgoniidae. It is found in the western Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic Sea. It was first described in 1791 by the German naturalist Eugenius Johann Christoph Esper.
Eunicella singularis is found in the western Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic Sea at depths of 10 to 60 meters (33 to 197 ft). It mainly occurs on shallowly sloping rock surfaces which are often partially covered with sediment, also on pebbles, shells or other objects surrounded by sediment. It favors well-lit locations.
Please Note: Our finger claw sponges, gorgonians, and sea fans are made using a proprietary foamy urethane that gives them buoyancy in the water column, this allows them to gently move with the water current. THEY WILL FLOAT if not secured to a weighted structure.
